The Governor of Hong Kong to the Secretar

for the Colonies.

(Received, Colonial Office, 7.10 a.m., 13th October,19%

Secret. I strongly recommend that Nasnim an Indian

of Hong Kong son of Khanzada Pathan of Shadi Khan village Attock district should be granted title of Khan Sahib in next Indian honours list. In intelligence and censorship matters he has given vary

very valuable help

much of the work being entirely reimmatrfly and unremunerated, and is also serving as sergeant in police reserve. He is a clerk in magistracy here and the position which he holds makes him a fit recipient of honour. With regard to his social standing he is a brother of Captain Ajaib Khan of Viceroy's Council.

I have repeated this to India with a request that the will communicate their opinion on eligibility of Nashim direct to India Office.

MAY.
